Music Maestro
At St Werburgh’s we believe in the importance of music. From music appreciation through to developing the resilience and dedication to learn a musical instrument. In light of our commitment to this important area of the curriculum we have pledged that all children will learn three musical instruments throughout their primary career.
Our music programme is comprehensive and consists of:
Year 1 and Year 2, learning the Ukulele
Year 3 and Year 4, learning Dalcroze method musicianship which includes singing, movement and violin
Year 5 learning Steel Pans.
The school have performed at St Georges Hall and regularly entertain audiences at school concerts and local Christmas carol services.
